Halloween Movement Idea List for Kids

5 Fun Halloween Movement Game Ideas:

Halloween is a fun and exciting holiday for kids, and what better way to celebrate than to play some spooky movement games? Here are five ideas for Halloween-themed movement games that kids are sure to love:

  1. Zombie Tag: In this game, one player is chosen to be the zombie and must tag the other players to turn them into zombies too. The twist? The players can only move like zombies, with stiff arms and legs and slow, shuffling steps.
  2. Spider Races: Set up a course using cones, chairs, or other objects and have kids race through it while carrying a toy spider on a spoon. If the spider falls off, they have to start over!
  3. Ghost Bowling: Fill up empty water bottles or soda bottles with water and add a few drops of food coloring to make them look like ghosts. Set them up like bowling pins and have kids take turns rolling a ball to knock them down.
  4. Mummy Wrap: Divide kids into pairs and give each pair a roll of toilet paper. One child becomes the mummy and the other child has to wrap them up in toilet paper as quickly as possible. The first team to finish wins!
  5. Pumpkin Relay: Set up a relay race where kids have to run to a pile of pumpkins, pick one up, and run back to their team before passing the pumpkin to the next player. To make it more challenging, have the kids carry the pumpkins on their heads or under their chins.

These games are sure to get kids moving and having fun this Halloween! You can also find more game ideas in my Halloween printable kit, including a spooky scavenger hunt!

Take care and hope you get groovy like a ghost! Emma x
